Greetings! My name is Laree
Giovannettone and I am the
Administrative Assistant here at St.
Katharine Drexel Parish. I handle most
of the administrative and financial
duties. Okay—here’s your phonics
lesson– how to pronounce my name:
Laree rhymes with “Marie” and
Giovannettone is four words put
together Gio-van-net-tone.
working with Fr. Joe and the parish staff
assisting in financial and administrative duties
as well as assisting at Mass and occasionally
preaching the homily.
I am a life time resident of Sioux Falls and grew
up on the city’s north end near St. Joseph
Cathedral. I went to grade school at St. Joseph
Cathedral, junior high at Axtell Park, graduated
from Washington High, and received a
Bachelors Degree from Sioux Falls College. My
wife Mary and I have been married for over 31
years and we have two children. Our daughter,
Bridget O’Toole, is married to Jason and they live
in Tea, SD. Bridget is a Sioux Falls Police Officer.
Our son, John, is married to Rachel and they
have two daughters, Bryn and Erin. John works
for Verizon Wireless and sells cell phones and
services.
I am looking forward to this new opportunity and
to meeting and getting to know all of you.

Please help us welcome Victor M.
Robinson, Sr. as our new custodian.
The opportunity to work at a parish
and school was very appealing to
Victor. His years of experience as
custodian has come from working at
StarMark and Hutchinson
Technologies as well as United
Children’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN.
Victor is originally from Milwaukee,
WI. He has two grown children.
Victor will be shared with St.
Katharine Drexel School in his
custodial duties.

I have been a member of St. Katharine
Drexel Parish for three years. My husband,
Dan, and I have been married for 31
years. We have four children, Sunshine,
Michael, Chasity & Carrie, who is also a
member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish. I
have one granddaughter, Kaitlyn, who is 7
months old.
My husband and I met at Search when we
were in high school & we have been
involved in that program in the diocese. I
have been involved in various youth
ministry programs throughout Sioux Falls
& facilitated a youth group in my home
when my children were in high school.
I believe that our young people need to
have an experience of Christ’s love in their
life.
I believe that our young people need to have an experience of Christ’s love in
their life. My ministry objective is to aid our youth in faith formation and assist
them in fostering a relationship with Christ through the Sacraments. Our youth
are not the future of the Church, our youth are the Church and they need to be
treated as such. I am very excited to be your new youth minister and look forward
to getting to know and serve the youth of our parish.
